Overview

Join Dr Steve Bullock, Bristol Flight Lab, University of Bristol for a discussion on the growing and evolving role of drones in our skies.

Dr Steve Bullock, Bristol Flight Lab, University of Bristol

In Steve’s recent u3a online talk he covered the growing and evolving role of drones in our skies, and his work using drones to support wildlife conservation in Africa, in hunting the the legendary Lundy cabbage, and capturing atmospheric data and ash plumes over active volcanoes.

There were many great questions that we didn’t get to, both during the session and in feedback after the event, so by popular demand Steve wings his way back! He will briefly recap what was covered in his previous session, then open the floor for some interesting discussion and opinions.

About the speaker

Dr Steve Bullock heads up the Aerial Robotics MSc at the University of Bristol, leads training for the WildDrone.eu and WildBotics.eu doctoral networks, and is passionate about positive applications of technology.
