Overview
This talk explores the way that parts of the brain influence behaviour and thinking.
Behaviour and Personility
This talk starts by with describing how the ‘old’ parts of our brain drive our basic behaviour and emotions like hunger, thirst, happiness, sadness and sex. It also explains how the ‘new’ parts of our brain can modify these basic drives and produce our most sophisticated skills, thinking and personality.
About the Speaker
Dr. Bob Pullen is a member of the u3a and a retired University Lecturer who has spent many years giving lectures on the brain to Medical, Pharmacy and Biology students. He has also undertaken brain research in England and America. During this time, he has learned many amazing facts about the human brain which he includes in these talks. This is a series of eleven talks.
